Archery New Brunswick is proud to announce that it has invited Kathy Miller to NB to put on this year's coaching clinic. Kathy Miller is one of Canada most accomplished coaches and is experience in both Recurve and Compound archery. This year's clinic will be held on January 7th and 8th at the Bathurst Archery Club.
Coaches should bring at least 1 archer whom they work with on a regular basis, and if not, should be prepared to shoot as the student during the session, no exceptions. I would prefer to keep the number of coaches to a maximum of 12, but if there are more than 12 pre-registered, just let me know and we will extend the workshop hours.

Goals for the workshop:
1. To assist coaches to prepare New Brunswick archers for the national indoor regional championships on March 3-4, 2012. I would like to cover realistic goal-setting for the indoor regional championships for both the archer and the coach.

2. One day will be devoted to topics related to compound archery: what to look for with respect to bow mass weight, draw weight, draw length, wheel/cam selection when dealing with adolescents, women and to a lesser extent, adult men; how to use the 4-quadrants & how to shoot a release aid properly; how to set the bow-shoulder powerfully; how to execute the shot in-line.

3. One day will be devoted to topics related to recurve archery: what to look for with respect to bow mass weight, draw weight, draw length, limb-tip action when dealing with adolescents, women and adult men; how to use the 4-quadrants to develop a dynamic release and follow-through; how to set the bow-shoulder powerfully; how to execute the shot in-line.

Active participation is essential, along with an open mind. I run a high-energy workshop and expect communication and interaction from the registrants. It does not matter to me what level of coaching experience these people have; I am prepared to work with club to international level.

Cost is $60 for Archery NB coach and archer, $120 for non-Archery NB coach and archer pairs.

NOTE: Currently registration is full, however if you are interested you can put your name on a waiting list in case there are cancellations.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Trevor Furlotte.
